Broadband Consultant

  • The Broadband Consultant will utilize their experience, research, technical and communication skills to deliver solutions to clients. The Broadband Consultant works with the ECC team, elected officials, government entities, community leaders and businesses to identify and develop solutions focusing upon the availability, deployment, and adoption of broadband in communities.

  • • Partner with and provide leadership to community leaders to identify issues with respect to broadband availability, adoption, and develop a vision with plans to resolve.

    • Understand the various Broadband technologies and capable of explaining them to customers.

    • Analyze Broadband programs.

    • Develop and implement effective Broadband strategies and collaboration opportunities.

Make Ready Administrator

Broadband Analyst - Make Ready Administrator

  • The Make Ready Administrator is responsible for managing the flow of information between ECC, the utilities and the Department of Transportation (DOT). This position is vital to the overall success of any project by ensuring all steps of the project process are completed on schedule.

  • • Submits maps and exhibits received by Designer to all utilities for Make Ready.

    • Obtains price quotes for required electric Make Ready.

    • Ensures that all payments are made to utilities for Make Ready.

    • Tracks the Make Ready process to ensure work has been completed and licenses have been received for pole attachments.

    • Submits permit applications to respective DOT, state, county or town.

    • Ensures all payments for permit applications are made.

    • Tracks the permit process to ensure that permits have been received, accepted and approved.

    • Reviews pole attachment agreements.

    • Requests and maintains a record of all required insurances.

    • Reviews contractor applications for payment.

    • Works with clients to ensure ECC and contractor invoicing is received, accepted and paid.

  • As a Technology Designer you are responsible for supporting Sr. Technology Consultants and/or Project Managers. As a member of the design team, you are responsible for system design, specification, and contract drawings. You perform field data collection and/or inspection to ensure installations adhere to design drawings and specifications. Experience in one or more of the following disciplines is required.

Broadband Designer

Jr. OSP Designer

  • This is an entry-level position where you will be building on your current knowledge to learn on the job. We’re looking for someone with a telecommunications background who has worked with fiber optic cabling, Outside Plant (OSP) construction and/or design for both aerial and underground cable placement with experience in FTTx deployments. Ideal candidate will have recently received RCCD certification or be willing to complete the RCDD certification program as an employee of ECC.

Grant/Proposal Writer

  • The Grant/Proposal Writer is a key member of ECC Technologies’ consulting organization.This Grant/Proposal Writer will utilize their experience, research, communications, and detailed writing skills to deliver effective proposals and responses to RFP’s (Request for Proposals) as directed with solutions to clients. The Grant/Proposal Writer will be responsible to study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial need of the ECC Technologies organization and using those items with persuasive language to respond to ECC teams and client’s request. The Grant/Proposal Writer shall also create, write, and edit reports for clients, as well as work with clients on any revisions to reports, as needed.

  • • Partner with ECC teammates to identify issues with respect to broadband and develop a vision with detailed plans to resolve.

    • Gather and then conceptualize the written response for guidance to community leaders to identify issues with respect to broadband availability and adoption.

GIS Analyst

Project Manager

  • The Project Manager has a key role in the design and management of the programs and will provide day-to-day oversight of program operations and deployment/implementation of any assigned projects.

  • • Manage implementation of multiple large, diverse, and complex projects at once, including:

    • Ensuring that deployment proceeds on established schedules, that grant recipients adhere to programmatic and contractual obligations, and that projects conform to approved project plans.

    • Maintaining regular contact with all grantees and project partners to understand project status, identify and flag risks, and troubleshoot deployment issues as needed with State agencies and other stakeholders.

    • Maintaining updated project plans for all deployments and synthesizing information into high-level program tracking dashboards.

    • Collecting, updating, and tracking data on a variety of project progress indicators and metrics, e.g., construction data, mapping and GIS files, budget and spending information, data on utility pole/permit applications, and more.

    • Working with the Research and Data Analysis team to develop reports on project and program progress and impact.
