ErieNET Build To Be Designed and Managed by ECC Technologies

We’re proud to announce that ECC Technologies has been selected by Erie County to design and manage the construction of ErieNET, an Open Access Network totaling nearly 400 miles of fiber.

What will we be doing?

The network backbone will connect all viable municipal entities, as well as key community anchor institutions (CAIs), such as business, educational, and healthcare entities. In addition, the network will be available to any viable entity in the County that wishes to subscribe to the network.

ECC will develop all construction documents necessary for the ErieNET local development corporation (LDC) to bid out construction. ECC will assist the County in executing construction contracts and manage construction operations for a successful build.

About Us

Who we are

ECC Technologies was incorporated in 1995 to provide technology and communications consulting services to Educational, Community, and Corporate (ECC) clients. This was at the time when the nation’s telecom- communications industry was changing drastically through deregulation.

For the past 20 years, ECC has provided technology and security consulting services to education, municipalities, government, and corporate clients.

ECC continues our mission to assist clients with the expansion of broadband and the implementation of technology and security solutions in communities to improve economic development, public safety, education, and health- care services.

Success Stories - University at Buffalo

UB required a private fiber optic network to connect the University of Buffalo North and South Campuses with the downtown medical campus, Buffalo State College, and other municipal users.

ECC provided fiber optic routing, r-o-w, and permitting, make-ready estimates, and utility coordination.

Due to a successful initial project, ECC was subsequently hired to assist the University with design and construction administration services to extend UB’s private fiber infrastructure to Buffalo State College and other locations within metropolitan Buffalo.
